a bit chilly

1 Sep

September….I genuinely get melancholic as soon as we enter the 9th month of the year…It probably goes way back to my school years when September literally meant: end of summer, beginning of another school year…And although i am trying to stay in denial with the whole end of summer getting closer, there are a few things that bring me back to my (almost autumn) reality: Here are a few:

* it gets dark at 830pm

* you can’t go to an open air cinema without your jacket anymore

* no more hot summer vacation plans

* no more spending two consecutive hours in the water (sea or pool) anymore etc..

It has been very windy for the last few days so we really can not go (extensive) swimming anymore. I hate wind. I don’t understand its existence. I can put up with rain (only because we live in Greece and rain is something we have occasionally), I love snow (only because we usually only get it in the mountains) but wind, no. REALLY. A nice, summer breeze is perfect, but the heavy wind that makes you wish you had the shortest hair possible, is NOT OK. Just wanted to get it out of my system.

To wrap it up…I am a summer gal, 100%.

Kalo mina everyone!
