My children are old enough to resolve their issues on their own, but ever so often I can’t resist in interfering, mostly out of fear that someone will eventually get hurt (or so I tell myself).
What I do notice most of the times I actually manage to stay out of it is that everything is forgotten in a blink of an eye. Much faster than it took to get started in the first place. Of course there are these other times where Iliana ends up with a scratch in the face (for a more dramatic outcome) and Yianni looks like mother Theresa reincarnated. As soon as my interrogation starts on who is about to take the fall, I know I have lost the game.
What I have realised is that sibling’s bonds are stronger when they learn to communicate with each other without having a third wheel to intervene. I need to remember that!
