Its been a while. I know. I don’t want to make any excuses.

It’s not like I am juggling between keeping alive raising three kids, cooking a decent meal (or two) daily, cleaning the mess they we leave behind, washing the dirty clothes (I am currently competing with the dirty clothes cabinet and the shitty humid weather), chauffeuring them from school, organizing their clothes (epic fail no1) and their toys (one would think I would get wiser-epic fail no2), taking them to the doctor’s, working on sibling conflict resolution, keeping the little guy outside somewhat safe, doing the grocery and farmer’s market shopping, feeding and grooming the pets, ironing N.’s shirts (I have come to accept wrinkles, wrinkles are my friends now), nursing the baby, teaching the baby to eat solids, carrying the baby 24/7 around the house as he is currently going through the I-don’t-see-my-mom-where-is-she-she-is-gone-forever separation anxiety phase, supervising Yianni’s homework and last but not least, being a loving, appreciative, awesome wife to my partner in crime of the last 14 years.

I am not an anniversary kinda gal, we usually both remember it a few days later but today he remembered. So, did I (after he reminded me of it).

So, today (and everyday) I feel grateful for him. For the last 14 years.

Today, I am celebrating LOVE.

Until next time

2001 was a good year for weddings it seems! We just celebrated our 14th anniversary too (although like you, we don’t really ‘ celebrate’ it’s really more of an acknowledgement).
Here’s to many more years of love for us all xx

Thank you very much Marianne! I wish you and Yianni all the best as well. Nikos and I have been together for 14 years, we got married in 2006. It feels like it was yesterday. Enjoy your summer xxx

    Hi M,

God, I forgot how tiring parenting was. Lol Good news is one day they all grow up and your life is once again your own. But for now I send you loads of energy, love and happiness!

Much love to you both. Hugs Paula xxxx

You now officially hold my favorite blog!
And that is not because I identify with it 100%, it’s not because I LOVE the way you write, it’s not because I know you since we were- well, a little less than 14….
    It’s because it’s REAL!
It describes a real human, going through real struggles (though not the ones you would weepingly testify in a daily soap opera) and trying to honestly cope with them.
It’s REAL and HONEST merely by the fact that it took you over two moths since your last post.
I am sick and tired of reading blogs from moms who do all that you just described or similarly heroic deeds (or at least that’s what they say they do) and yet manage to keep a daily log decorated with well stylized instages and selfies of their every-single-moment (be it real of just made up) .
I admire you girl, simply because you come to make friends with your wrinkles (of any sort)!

I do miss your epic recipes and yummy pics of what goes on in your kitchen…
And while I was thinking of that last night, while trying to figure out what the hell to cook for next day’s meal, I had an epiphany thanx to your insta-inspiration.

Once you can take a moment (and once I manage to do the same, since that moment has just been spent in this comment) I’ll send it to you and you can post it here.

    ‘Till then mein Schatz!

WOW! What can I say after such a heartfelt and warm comment…you leave me speechless. Thank you. Being honest and keeping it real has been the only intention I ever had with this blog. It’s me, simply me, putting my thoughts into writing whenever I feel the urge to let it out there.
I want to see you. Let’s make an extra effort to make it happen, ok?
      Love xxx

Be happy, excited and one hug for ever! Both of you are lucky for having each other! We love and admire you!

Yes, we are lucky! But marriage needs a lot of work, it doesn’t work on its own. Thank you Elpida, I wish you all the best as well xxx
